The City of Poway announced the launch of a new civic engagement tool for its residents. The Poway CityApp offers a simple way to directly route service requests (streetlights, traffic signals and other non-emergency items) to the appropriate department. But there’s much more to the app – users can access key pages from the city’s website, including links to pay your water bill or register for a class online, and information about programs, news and events.
The steps are simple for using the Poway CityApp for reporting a problem. Follow the prompts to submit a service request, with the option to include a photo, and the request is automatically routed to the staff who can best help you. You get notified of what action is taken, and can monitor requests, provide comments and follow other request in our community.
The Poway CityApp replaces the City’s YourGov application for submitting service requests. Any residents using YourGov to report issues in the City of Poway will need to switch to the Poway CityApp. The app is available for both Android (Google Play Store) and Apple (App Store) devices, as well as on the city’s website poway.org/service.
