Help maintain Old Poway Park’s gardens while discovering the joys of gardening, learning new techniques, and connecting with fellow gardening enthusiasts.
Join us on Thursday, March 20 at 2 p.m. to learn about the Old Poway Park Heritage Garden Group, a new volunteer opportunity at Old Poway Park.
"Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just starting out, we welcome those who have a love for creating inviting spaces for the public to enjoy," said Sarah Becker, Recreation Area Manager at Old Poway Park.
The informational meeting will share details about what the group will do and give prospective volunteers the opportunity to sign up.
Old Poway Park brings history to life in one of the city’s most iconic settings. The park is home to several unique garden spaces, including an educational garden, an orchard showcasing local fruit trees, and a beautiful butterfly garden that supports pollinators. Volunteers play a vital role in maintaining and growing these spaces.
Call the Old Poway Park office at 858-668-4576 to sign up to attend on March 20. Can’t make it? Stop by and see us at the Volunteer Fair at Old Poway Park on Saturday, April 26 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
