[ARCHIVED] Poway Announces Stan Donn as New City Planner

The City of Poway is pleased to announce Stan Donn as the new City Planner. Donn is responsible for managing and overseeing the city’s planning, building and code compliance services. 

Donn has been a professional planner for more than 30 years in both the private and public sectors, including working as a contract planner with the City of Poway early in his career. Most recently he was a senior planner/project manager with the City of Chula Vista. During his time at Chula Vista, he managed high-profile projects that resulted in what he described as “communities with thriving businesses, great amenities, and happy residents.”

Donn graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies and Planning. A certified planner through the American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP) since 1997, Donn serves as a mentor to new planners and assists with the state AICP training committee. He has been a board member for the local section of the American Planning Association.
