[ARCHIVED] After the Storm

sandbags

Although this weekend’s storm was less severe than anticipated, your preparation can still go to good use.

If you assembled sandbags and did not have flooding, place them in a location to thoroughly dry out and then move them out of direct sunlight to protect the bags from disintegrating. You’ll be a step of ahead of the game in case this year’s El Nino winter brings an abundance of rain back to our region. (Read this County News Center article for info on storage/disposal.)

If you bought extra non-perishable supplies, take stock of your family’s emergency preparedness “Stay Box” and swap out any items that need replacing. (Learn more about emergency preparedness for individuals/families.)
