[ARCHIVED] Call for Artists: Exhibit at PCPA

The Poway Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA) showcases artistry beyond the talent on stage. Each September through June the center’s spacious lobby walls double as a public art gallery, highlighting a range of themes and mediums through rotating art exhibits available for viewing Tuesday through Saturday.

More than 70,000 patrons pass through the doors of the PCPA each year. When the theatre was built more than 30 years ago, it was envisioned as a venue for the presentation of both fine and performing arts, as well as educational programming.

“The 2022-23 exhibits were a perfect representation of this vision as we were able to host both highly acclaimed professional artists and student exhibits,” said Recreation Area Manager Belinda Romero. “Our grand lobby is a wonderful space for artists of all levels to share their talent and bring their ideas to life in a public space.”

The center is now accepting art exhibit applications for the Sept. 2023 to June 2024 season. The exhibit space includes the lobby walls at both the orchestra and balcony levels and can accommodate 60 to 80 framed pieces. If interested in applying, visit the PCPA website for more details, email business@powaycenter.com or call 858-668-4693.
