The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning in San Diego from Thursday morning until Friday evening. SDG&E has asked customers to prepare for a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff. View SDG&E’s “Designated At-Risk Communities” map at sdge.com/psps. There’s also an option to enter your address to see if you’re at risk.
The City of Poway encourages you to prepare now for potential outages:
- Download the PSPS Notifications app for your phone to make sure you don't miss notifications from SDG&E about potential outages in our area.
- Know your SDG&E circuit – that will make understanding updates on the SDG&E outage map easier. (See graphic)
- Make sure your mobile devices are charged fully charged (cell phones, tablets and even lap top computers). Same goes for an electric vehicle. Check your battery supplies to ensure that you have the right sizes for flashlights, lamps, etc.
- Review how to manually open and close your garage door during a power outage, especially if you need to leave your house in the event of an emergency.
