[ARCHIVED] Water Projects Town Hall

water rate structure

The City of Poway is hosting a virtual town hall on Monday, May 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. about the upcoming water infrastructure capital improvement program (CIP) and why these projects are critical to ensure a safe and reliable water supply for water customers now and generations to come. This will be the largest CIP in the city’s 40-year history.

“The focus goes beyond explaining the projects," City Manager Chris Hazeltine said. “We want to be able to share the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’ and give our water customers a preview of the key decisions that will go before the City Council over the next few years. We’re navigating an unprecedented Capital Improvement Program and we want to offer our water customers the opportunity to be as informed as possible as we start this journey.”

The one-hour town hall will include a staff presentation, along with a Q&A session. The meeting will be recorded and placed on the CIP webpage (poway.org/water-infrastructure-program). To attend, visit poway.org/water-town-hall or the city’s calendar of events.
