[ARCHIVED] Update on Resident Reports of Discolored Water

water rate structure

Today our water utilities division fielded calls from some residents about discolored water. We wanted to share that water utilities staff tested water samples from all of the residences and while there is some discoloration, there is no health risk. All of the samples came back within regulatory range and safe for drinking.

The calls received were within a water distribution area that spans from Green Valley to Garden Road. Staff will be flushing lines in the areas that received complaints and removing water from the top of the clear well that serves the area.

Even though City offices are closed over the weekend, Public Works staff are on call. If you have concerns about your water, please contact our Public Works after hours number at 858-668-4751.
