[ARCHIVED] May 2: Workshop on the Future of Poway Road

The City of Poway is hosting a workshop on Monday, May 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. to gather community input on the future of Poway Road. It will be held at Poway City Hall, Council Chambers, 13325 Civic Center Drive.

The community will get a first look at the concepts and materials that emerged from a July 2015 workshop focused on learning what residents wanted for growth and development along the Poway’s main commercial corridor.

“This is our opportunity to share what we took away from the conversation and introduce examples of what that might look like for the future of Poway Road,” said Development Services Director Bob Manis.

The goal of the Poway Road Corridor Study is to look at existing conditions and make recommendations regarding options for land use, transportation, development types and patterns, landscape design, lighting, signage and other public improvements.

The next step is to begin developing the policies that will guide implementing changes based on the proposed vision.
