Poway’s Household Hazardous Waste collection facility offers free disposal of household toxins and electronic waste for Poway residents. It is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (excluding holiday weekends). Visit poway.org/hazardous for a list of accepted items.
If you are doing some serious paper purging, mark your calendar for Poway's free document shredding event on June 22. There will also be e-recycling and free mulch. For more info visit the calendar listing.
