[ARCHIVED] Water/Sewer Customer Notice

mailbox

On October 1 the United States Postal Service (USPS) revised its service standards for First-Class Mail and Periodicals. Some of the time-in-transit standards have increased, which will impact the length of time it takes mail to be delivered. If you pay for Poway water and sewer service by mail, your payment may take longer to be delivered.

Minimize the risk of late payments:

  • Sign up for eBills to ensure you receive your bimonthly statements faster electronically
  • Set up Bill Pay and Autopay for one-time or recurring payments electronically with eCheck or credit card.
  • Plan ahead and send bill payments earlier. A postmark does not constitute payment, and the City is not responsible for mail delivery delays.
  • To learn more about the new USPS service standards, please visit: official USPS Statement
