Trout and catfish are both biting at Lake Poway. Several 8 and 10 pound trout have been caught since the trophy stock on December 29th. Most trout have come from boats near the middle of the lake and from the shore off Half Moon Bay. Most catfish are being caught from boats along the log boom.
Our next stock is scheduled for January 14th, with 2,000 lbs of Trophies!
Lake Poway is closed to fishing and boating on Mondays & Tuesdays. The park is open seven days a week, 6:00 AM - sunset (currently 5:00 PM).
