Lake Poway stocked 1,500 lbs. of rainbow trout on Thursday, January 27th. The trout bite was strong along the shoreline despite some high winds this week. Fishing was good at the usual spots by the fishing pier, Half Moon Bay and the North Shore. The trout have also spread out to Hidden Bay and are going into deeper water. PowerBait, mini-jigs and nightcrawlers have been the best baits for trout. The catfish bite has been good especially if fishing on boat by the Log Boom, as can be seen by Jeff's limit catch last week.
