The trout bite was great this week with many limits caught from North Shore all the way to Hidden Bay. The catfish bite has been steady all year, when boats are available it’s best to post up on the Log-Boom and if fishing from the shoreline catfish are most frequently caught from Jump Off Point onward. The best baits for trout this season have been mini jigs (natural colored or yellow / orange), spinners, and power bait.
When you stop by concessions to buy your permit keep a 6 ft. distance when in line and adhere to the maximum occupancy for the store. Ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information.
