Lake Poway was the place to be for catfish this past week. Numerous catfish were caught along the North Shore, with mackerel seeming to be the lucky bait. The North Shore was also the place to catch smaller bass. Most anglers found that artificial worms were the bait of choice for bass, especially off the fishing pier.
Are you ready for trout season? Assuming the weather cooperates and the water temperature cools to an appropriate level, there is just over one month to go until our first stock of "Nebraska Tailwalkers"!
Lake Poway is closed to fishing and boating on Mondays & Tuesdays. The park is open seven days a week, 6:00 AM - sunset.
