The catfish are biting at Lake Poway! This week, the mouth of Hidden Bay was a hot spot, producing fish even in the middle of the day. The fishing pier turned out to be another great area, as limits were caught within an hour and a half. Small bass are still biting, but the elusive big one has remained quite the challenge lately.
The water temperature has continued to slowly drop, with the current temperature sitting at 76 degrees. Opening day is tentatively scheduled to be the first week in December.
Lake Poway is closed to fishing and boating on Mondays & Tuesdays. The park is open seven days a week, 6:00 AM - sunset.
