Lake Poway stocked 2,300 lbs. of Nebraska Tail Walkers including trophies on January 15th. Fishermen on the shoreline from the North shore to Half Moon Bay were catching their limits throughout the weekend using mini-jigs, Thomas Buoyants and PowerBait. It’s been slow for boats but the catfish bite has picked up the last few weeks off the Log-Boom using Mackerel and Night Crawlers, with another 20 lb. catfish pulled out Saturday January 18th. Kealoa Bias (see photo) caught his limit of trout by Half Moon Bay on Friday January 17th.
When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information. See the flyer below for the complete Stocking schedule.
