Tony Orlina, a lake regular, and Glenn Hester, visiting from Kentucky, both caught limits on Saturday, April 20th (photo). They were trolling deep on the East side of the lake and using night crawlers for bait.
Remember next Wednesday, April 24th is our last trout stock of the season. So if you want a chance at hooking some big Tailwalkers come out next week.
Bass are biting well on a variety of artificials.
Once again please release spawning bass, we do not stock bass so the only way to maintain the population is to allow them to spawn.
Final stock: April 24th, 1,000 pounds of Tailwalkers.

The first Spring Campout of 2019 was enjoyed by 24 families this past Friday, April 12th. Our next campout is April 26th so If you would like to enjoy a night under the stars sign up online.
Sleep under the spring stars! Set up your tent and explore the park at your own pace. Hike the numerous trails; drop a line to catch a fish; cruise the lake on a motorboat; or simply relax by your campsite and enjoy all the natural beauty that Lake Poway offers. Fishing permits and boat rentals are not included but may be purchased for a nominal fee. No alcohol is permitted. This is a rain or shine event! $25 per car. When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information. Remember concessions closes at 6:00 PM so come early enough to buy your permit or rent a boat.
