This past week was one of the best of the season so far! There were lots of limits pulled in including 4 Tailwalkers caught by Tony Orlina on Sunday (photo). Tony was trolling night crawlers when he hooked his fish.
Anglers trolling the center of the lake had the most success this week and the best bait overall was night crawlers. We also saw some bass and catfish caught, and a 5-pound Tailwalker. We will be stocking again next Wednesday, January 16th so the good fishing should continue.
If you have kids be sure to come out February 2nd for our 24th annual Youth Fishing Derby. The event is free and there will be plenty of fun activities and prizes. Friday, February 1st we will have a free fishing seminar in the evening and for $15 per car families can camp in the park the night of February 1st. You can sign up for the campout on our website at poway.org.
Next stock: January 16th, 1,500 pounds of Trophy Tailwalkers.
The 24th annual Youth Fishing Derby will be held February 2nd, 2019. Check our website at poway.org for details.
