Catfishing was great Friday night. Adela Romo of Fallbrook landed a 15-pound 12 ounce lunker from the fishing pier. She caught it using a hotdog. Many anglers pulled in limits from boats and from the shore. Boulder Bay was one of the hotter spots.
Other than hotdogs Mackerel is still the go to bait.
Catfish Season and Night Fishing are in full swing! Boats can stay out until 11:00 PM and the lake will be open until 11:30 PM. Sorry no fishing on Mondays or Tuesdays
Night Fishing will continue on Friday and Saturday nights until September 1st. Catfish will be stocked July 3rd, 13th, and 27th and August 10th and 24th. Stocking schedule subject to change.
When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information. Remember concessions closes at 6:00 PM (9:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays during night fishing) so come early enough to buy your permit or rent a boat.
