The fish of the week was a 10+ pound bass caught Friday. The water is getting pretty warm but with the cooler weather this week anglers are still bringing in Tailwalkers. The most successful method for catching trout this week was trolling a powerbait-nightcrawler combo deep in the middle of the lake. We also saw several catfish in the two to four-pound range.
Next up for Lake Poway is Catfish Season and Night Fishing starting in early July.

When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information. Remember concessions closes at 6:00 PM, so come early enough to buy your permit or rent a boat.
