The trout bite got hot on Saturday, and on Sunday John and Dominic (9) Maisonave brought in a hefty eight-pound Tailwalker (photo). They were on the fishing pier throwing spinners when they hooked it. Another father-son team, Kirk and Tristan Aguon, each got a limit of Tailwalkers and one catfish for good measure on Saturday. They were trolling night crawlers down the center of the lake.
The bass bite has been great with several in the eight to twelve-pound range caught and released.
Our final stock of this trout season will be Wednesday, April 18th. Trout season is coming to a close so if you want a chance to hook a great fighting Tailwalker head to Lake Poway soon.
Next stock: Trout, April 18th, 1,500 pounds
