Posted on: April 8, 2018

[ARCHIVED] Week of April 4-8

Wayne Martin 9.1 lb trout, Half Moon Bay, Chartreuse power bait, 8 Apr 2018, Oceanside 2

Wayne Martin of Oceanside, caught a huge, nine-pound Tailwalker this Sunday. He was using Chartreuse Power Bait and fishing in Half Moon Bay (photo). Another notable catch was Kiyan Mocin’s eight-pound Tailwalker caught Friday. He was fishing a Ju Jig from the North Shore when he hooked it.

Our final stock of this trout season will be Wednesday, April 18th. Trout season is coming to a close so if you want a chance to hook a great fighting Tailwalker head to Lake Poway soon.

Our last Trout Fishing Seminar of the season was held this Sunday and was huge success. The seminars were led by Lake Poway Park Ranger Scott Cochran and Dock Attendant Don Caswell. Both are expert anglers and shared their knowledge with a large group of new anglers.

Next stock: Trout, April 18th, 1,500 pounds
