Lake Poway regulars Jeff Kopischke and his son Alex had a great catch this Thursday when they hauled in 8 trout and a catfish (photo). They were using nightcrawlers near Boulder Bay. Another notable catch was Don Nguyen’s 10.1 pound Tailwalker that he hooked this Wednesday. Don was fishing a minijig when the big trout hit.
The other big news is the stock next Wednesday April 4th will be our second to last. Sadly, trout season at Lake Poway is almost over, so if you want to fish for trout at Lake Poway get up here soon.
Next stock: Trout, April 4th, 1,500 pounds
New this year Lake Poway will be hosting free Trout Fishing Seminars for beginners. The seminars are taught by Lake Poway Park Ranger and expert angler Scott Cochran. The final Seminar of the season will be held April 8th, 2018. For more information see our website.
