David Contizano, Paul Romano, and Paul’s son Dylon combined for a nice mixed bag, including a five-pound bass, a seven-pound bass, and a nine-pound catfish (see photo). Both bass were released after being weighed at the dock.
It was a great week for trout. Jordan Snyder hooked a fine 8.1 pound Tailwalker on March 8th and we had a few reports of other large trout throughout the week. Numerous limits of Tailwalkers were landed, mostly from shore, with the area just north of the fishing pier and Half Moon Bay being two of the best locations. The blue and chrome Kastmaster was the jig of the week for trout.
The bass bite is hot, and the catfish bite picked up this week.
Next stock: Trout, March 21st, 1,500 pounds, Trophies!
