Mike Parmley, a Poway local landed a beautiful seven-pound Tailwalker this Sunday. He was trolling the middle of the lake using a nightcrawler and powerbait combo. Trout and catfish were biting this week and we saw pictures of some nice bass that were caught and released.
New this year Lake Poway is hosting free Trout Fishing Seminars for beginners. The first seminar was a huge success, with over 25 beginner anglers coming out to learn the basics. The seminars are taught by Lake Poway Park Ranger and expert angler Scott Cochran. The remaining dates are March 11th and April 8th. For more information see our website.
