Fish of the week goes to David Hlubik (on right in photo) of San Marcos with his 40-pound 8 ounce blue catfish. He caught it Friday afternoon and fought it for almost 2 hours before finally getting it into the boat. He was fishing on the log boom with his friend Chris using a combination of mackerel and power bait.
Another big fish was a 10 pound Tailwalker caught by Ali S. from Rancho Penasquitos, using Ju Jigs hand tied by his brother. They were fishing Hidden Bay Wednesday.
Also notable was Elias Hanley, age 8, with a 6 pound Tailwalker caught Wednesday. He caught it on a white Mice Tail from the North Shore.
We will be stocking another 1,500 pounds of Tailwalkers this Wednesday, December 13th so come out and try to hook a big one.
See our website for the complete stocking schedule.
Next stock: Trout, December 13th, 1,500 pounds.
