Another Monster catfish emerges from the depths of Lake Poway! David Hlubik of San Marcos, pictured with his friend Chris, hauled in a 40 pound 8 oz cat today. They were fishing the log boom using mackerel and power bait when it, "Hit like a freight train." David fought it for close to two hours before finally netting it. He was using a #5 Owner treble hook on 20 lb. line. The huge cat measured 44 inches from nose to tail.
