Tristan Aguon a Poway local hauled in a sweet 6.5 pound catfish Friday. He was fishing with father on the log boom and using mackerel for bait. His father Kirk, who usually limits and almost never gets skunked said, “patience is the key.” He also mentioned that they start biting about an hour before sunset. So come early enough to get a boat and get set up and wait for the bite.
