Lake Poway Fish Reports

Posted on: August 20, 2017

[ARCHIVED] Week of August 16-20

Anne Marie Nguyen, Anne MArie Do, Chau Do, 13 Cats, Mackerel, Hidden, 19 Aug 17

Chau Do, Anne Marie Nguyen, and daughter Anne Marie had a great night Saturday. Together they combined for 13 nice catfish, just 2 short of their limit. Mackerel was the magic bait and they were fishing Hidden Bay. Friday night saw the shore doing better that boats but Saturday boats had the edge. August 26th will be the last night of night fishing so if you want to try for some catfish come out soon.

We have night fishing until 11:30 PM (boats in by 11:00 PM) Friday and Saturday nights from July 7th to August 26th. During Night Fishing Half-Day boats start at 4 PM and you must bring a lantern. For night fishing arrive before 9 PM when the concessions closes on Friday and Saturday so that you can purchase your fishing permit.

When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information. Remember concessions closes at 6:00 PM Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, so come early enough to buy your permit or boat.
