Lake Poway Fish Reports

Posted on: April 16, 2017

[ARCHIVED] Week of April 12-16

Dylan Hancock of San Diego First time fishing, 15 Apr, 12 yrs old garlic worm mr.robot fan

Closed to boating and fishing Mondays and Tuesdays.

Twelve year old Dylan Hancock reeled in a great Tailwalker on April 15th and this was his first time fishing! He was using a garlic power worm and was pretty excited about his success. The warm weather means the bite is still best in the early morning. Come to the Lake next week after we stock 2,800 pounds of Tailwalkers on Wednesday April 19th. Slightly cooler weather early in the week may help the bite.

Next stock; 2,800 pounds, April 19th.

The final two stocks of the season will be combined for 2,800 pounds on April 19th.

When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information. Remember concessions closes at 5:30 PM so come early enough to buy your permit.
