UPDATE! Michael Merren (pictured) just brought in this 7 pound trout that he caught all by himself. He was trolling a nightcrawler in the center of the lake when he hooked up. His dad netted it when it was at the boat but other than that he did everything from hook up to reeling it in. The week started off well with Les and John Crine (pictured) of Murrieta hauling in 3 seven plus pound trout along with several smaller fish. They were using yellow power worms and trolling deep all over the lake. Other anglers also had success during the week though the bite did slow down a little on the weekend. Bedding bass were caught, and usually released, in cover along the shore. The excellent bite should return with our next stock this coming Wednesday and it will probably explode with the final massive combined stock on April 19th. Beginning April 1st we will be open until 7:15 PM so there will be a little more time to fish.
Next stock; 1,500 pounds, March 29.
The final two stocks of the season will be combined for 2,800 pounds on April 19th
