Cloudy weather meant big fish for Ronald Janke of Clairemont on Mother’s Day. He reeled in a 10.2 and a 6.1, both on nightcrawlers between Jump Off Point and Boulder Bay. Bass are biting also but are being picky about what they eat. Try shiners or swimbaits. If you’re looking for catfish the area North of the fishing pier before the “no fishing” zone is a good spot.
Next stock, Catfish, in early July. Night fishing should open the last week of June.
