The heat continues and so does the hot cat fishing. Morning anglers are getting limits form Jump Off and along the buoy line. A nice 5 lb. bass was caught from the shore at Jump Off this Sunday using a shiner. Bass are also biting from shore along the South side of Half Moon Bay. Small bluegill and the occasional small bass are still fairly easy to catch from the fishing pier. Nick Kayser and friend each caught limits Sunday morning along the buoy line (picture).
When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information. Remember concessions closes about an hour and a half before the park closes so come early enough to buy your permit.
