The Valle Verde playground, located at the corner of Espola and Valle Verde Roads, is getting a makeover beginning in December. The neighborhood park, which was originally built in 1990, will remain open while the play area is under construction.
The new equipment includes swings, which the park doesn’t currently have, a suspended “boogie board” for developing balance and core strength, and a spider web climber, which is touted for building upper-body strength.
The play area upgrades also include shading and a rubber tile surface similar to the recent remodel at Community Park’s Adventure Playground.
The playground is expected to reopen in early 2020.
