Water/Wastewater Rate Comparisons

Poway water and wastewater customers continue to pay less, on average, than much of San Diego County. 

The water rate comparison chart shows how Poway rates compared to other agencies’ average bi-monthly residential bills, based on a ¾″ meter and 37 units of water. Poway’s current bill and the proposed bill are shown in light grey and blue, respectively. 

As the chart shows, the proposed rate design options fall below the comparable average. Poway’s proposed rates are in the 40th percentile (60% of other agencies’ rates are higher).

The wastewater rate comparison chart shows how Poway rates compared to other agencies’ average bi-monthly residential bills, based 15 units of wastewater flow. Poway’s current bill and the proposed bill are shown in light grey and blue, respectively. 

As the chart shows, the proposed rate design options fall below the comparable average. Poway’s proposed rates are in the 22nd percentile (78% of other agencies’ rates are higher).
