Poway, CA - Come join us for an adventure under the stars this summer! The City of Poway Community Services Department is proud to offer three Family Campouts at Lake Poway. This is the perfect experience for first-time campers. Activities will include boating, night hikes, and an interpretive presentation by Blue Sky Ecological staff. Gather around the campfire and enjoy delicious S’mores before settling in for the night. Wake up to the sounds of birds, the smell of fresh coffee, and a continental breakfast. Families should bring a tent, camping equipment, and food to barbecue. We will provide grills and charcoal. For those who would like to try out their fishing skills, the Lake Poway Concession offers fishing permits at a reasonable price.
The Family Campouts run from 5:00 p.m. on Saturday to 9:00 a.m. on Sunday on the weekends of June 12 - June 13, July 17 - July 18 and August 14 - August 15.
The fee per family is $52 for Poway residents, $62 for non-residents. No alcohol is permitted. To register for this event visit our website at www.poway.org, or the Community Services Department at City Hall, 13325 Civic Center Drive.
