City of Poway

The Fire Prevention Division is a critical part of the Poway Fire Departments efforts to protect against the loss of life and property through its enforcement of municipal fire codes.  They conduct annual inspections of every business, place of public assembly, and school in the city to make sure that each place complies with all required fire codes.

In addition to inspections, the prevention division is also responsible to review construction plans to ensure that they have the appropriate life safety equipment an comply with all municipal fire codes.  Through their efforts in code enforcement, they help prevent fires and assure fire and life safety for the citizens of Poway.
