Poway, CA - The Veterans Committee, with representatives from the VFW, American Legion, Navy Fleet Reserve, and the Elks Club, will host a groundbreaking event on Monday, July 26, at 10:00 a.m. The event will be held at the future site of Veterans Park on the northeast corner of Midland Road and Adrian Street.
Palm Engineering Construction Inc. was awarded the $384,000 contract at a recent City Council meeting. Within days after the groundbreaking, they will begin grading, installing utilities, landscaping, and construction of park improvements. The work is anticipated to take approximately 90 days.
The Park is designed as a permanent fixture to honor those who serve our country. Please show your support for this effort that will properly tell the story of service, vigilance, and duty to country. The media and public are invited to the groundbreaking event.
